Trim Levels (Exterior)

Owners of the Ford Bronco Sport can choose from one of four trim packages, including the Base model, Big Bend, Outer Banks, and Badlands. All trims include flip-up rear glass, a safari-style roof, adjustable liftgate floodlights, daytime running lights, roof rack side rails, active grille shutters, intermittent wipers, and power mirrors. The top-of-the-line Badlands has a front 180-degree camera with split-view and washer to provide a clear view of the trail ahead when driving through obstacles or on challenging terrain. Badlands also has all-terrain tires, metal bash plates, and front tow hooks.

Engine (Power)

The standard engine on the Base model, Big Bend, and Outer Banks is a 181-horsepower, 1.5-liter I-3 EcoBoost. The Badlands has a 249-horsepower, 2.0-liter I-4 EcoBoost that produces 277 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive is standard on the Base, Big Bend, and Outer Banks trims. The Badlands has an advanced four-wheel-drive system with a twin-clutch rear-drive unit, providing unbeatable agility on loose or slippery terrain.

Performance

Properly equipped, the Bronco Sport can tow a maximum of 2,200 pounds. The unique safari roof can carry an additional 150 pounds of gear. Every Bronco Sport includes up to seven GOAT modes (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) to provide incredible off-road capability. The Base, Big Bend, and Outer Banks models have five GOAT modes, including normal (everyday driving), ECO (fuel saving), Sport (extra power), Slippery (rain/snow/slush), and Sand (sandy/loose surfaces). The Badlands is the ultimate off-road machine. In addition to the five modes found on other models, the Badlands also has two intense off-road modes. Badlands owners can take on even the toughest terrain by using mud/ruts (muddy trails) and rock crawl (mountain climbing/rocky areas) modes. Ford's Trail Control is also standard on the Badlands, providing slow and steady cruise control when driving over difficult terrain.

Interior

All models include cargo tie-down carabiner hooks and loops, 12-volt power points in the media and cargo area, USB ports throughout the cabin, and power windows. Except for the Base model, trims also include a MOLLE strap system, intelligent access, push-button start, automatic climate control, and a rubberized cargo floor mat. The Badlands has rubberized flooring throughout the cabin for easy cleanup after off-road adventures. With all seats occupied, the Bronco Sport provides 29 cubic feet of cargo space, increasing to 65.2 cubic feet with the rear seat folded flat. The second row is a 60/40 split-fold-flat bench, allowing for storage of irregular or large items. Infotainment amenities abound in the Bronco Sport. All models include Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, Applink, enhanced voice recognition, and an 8-inch touchscreen display. Onboard navigation, a premium ten-speaker Bang and Olufsen audio system, and wireless charging are also available.

Safety Features

Every trim includes pre-collision assist, automatic emergency braking, a lane-keeping system, blind-zone monitoring, cross-traffic alert, Ford's SOS Post-Crash Alert System, automatic high beams, a rearview camera, and advanced air bags. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane centering, and speed-sign recognition are also available.
