Trim Levels (Exterior)


Owners of the 2022 Ford F-150 can choose from eight trim packages, including the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, Tremor, and Raptor. All trims include cargo box tie-downs, a capless fuel filler, locking tailgate, and tow hooks (on four-wheel-drive models). High-end models also feature LED mirror-mounted spotlights, heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals, LED security approach lights, and running boards. The F-150 Tremor includes protective skid plates on the fuel tank, transfer case, and front differential. The Raptor includes heavy-duty skid plates on the front of the truck and over the engine, as well as a high-clearance rear bumper.

Engine (Power)


The 2022 Ford F-150 lineup includes several powerful engines. The XL and XLT trims have a 290-horsepower, 3.3-liter V-6 engine that produces 265 pounds of torque. A 325-horsepower, 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 is standard on the Lariat and produces 400 pound-feet of torque. The King Ranch and Platinum trims have a 400-horsepower, 5.0-liter V-8 engine. The Platinum and Tremor trims feature a 400-horsepower, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 that produces a whopping 500-pound-feet of torque. The off-road Raptor is equipped with a 450-horsepower, 3.5-liter high-output V-6 engine. All engines are paired with an electronic ten-speed automatic transmission. A SelectShift automatic transmission with progressive range select is available on all models. A hybrid transmission is available on the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. The Tremor and Raptor are four-wheel drive only. All other trims are rear-wheel drive with available four-wheel drive.

Performance


The maximum towing capacity of the F-150 varies depending on the engine. The 3.3-liter V-6 has a towing capacity of 8,200 pounds. The 3.5-liter V-6 engine can tow up to 14,000 pounds. The 5.0-liter V-8 and hybrid engine can tow 13,000 and 12,700 pounds, respectively. Payload capacity varies from 1,840 to 3,250 pounds. Stability control, traction control, curve control, and trailer sway control are standard on all trims. Cruise control is standard on all trims except for the XL. Pro-Trailer Backup Assist is standard on the Limited and available on all other trims. The F-150 Limited includes onboard scales that measure payload weight quickly and easily.

Interior


A variety of interior finishes, upholstery options, and amenities are available, making the F-150 highly customizable. Rear seat options include flow-through bucket seats, a 40/20/40 split-bench, and a 60/40 flip-up split-bench with elongated cushions. High-end models include an auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated and ventilated front seats, power-adjustable pedals with memory, a heated steering wheel, wireless charging pad, power door locks, and delayed accessory power. Infotainment features include a touch-screen display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. High-end models include a Bang and Olufsen sound system, satellite radio, onboard navigation, and advanced voice recognition.

Safety Features


All models feature Ford's Co-Pilot360 technology suite, including automatic headlights, hill start assist, a rearview camera, pre-collision assist, automatic emergency braking, and post-collision braking. High-end trims also include lane-keeping assist, a reverse sensing system, hill descent control, rain-sensing wipers, intelligent cruise control, and adaptive steering.
